Dr. Andrew Zaharia is Managing Director of Research & Data at Campaign Zero, and is a data scientist/engineer with a background in neuroscience.
Andrew leads a team of researchers and data scientists, who are responsible for both qualitative and quantitative data generation, methodology, analysis, and backend engineering for data-intensive campaigns such as Mapping Police Violence and Safe Cities.
Andrew joined Campaign Zero in 2022. He holds a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from New York University. He worked as an Associate Research Scientist as well as a labor organizer at Columbia University, serving on the Executive Board of the Columbia Postdoctoral Workers – United Auto Workers Local 4100. Immediately prior to Campaign Zero, he worked as a consultant at the intersection of data science, local government, and race equity.
